We love great products...and not just any products, but homeware, gifts, stationery and books. Our love of products comes from years of experience working in the retail industry, sourcing from around the globe and designing and manufacturing lovely gifts and things.

We set up Shruti when we felt a strong desire to combine our skills and produce ranges of our own that are unique and fresh to the market, with the emphasis on design, colour, quality and texture. We are based in the Cotswolds, and our Head Office is ‘Bliss Cottage’ situated in the beautiful Stroud Valley.

So who are shruti?..

Michaela Davies has many years experience in product development for a major high street retailer and in global sourcing, specialising in India where she travels regularly to visit and check our suppliers and source new products. Her own company, Michaela J Davies Ltd has a successful track record in producing bespoke products for many high street chains and large garden centres.

Sally Cornwell is a professional designer and photographer with a background in product and stationery design. She has worked closely with Michaela for many years bringing their ideas and concepts to life. It is Sally’s photographic style and love of colour and nature that gives Shruti designs its unique appeal.

Graham Edmonds has worked closely with Michaela building the bespoke business and has over 30 years experience in retail, working at senior level in two major high street chains. He also has a successful writing career with over 10 books published to date.

Sanjay is based in India and has more than 16 years of experience in the International trading industry, specialising in sourcing home textiles, hand made products and hard goods. He has worked in some of the best production and trading houses in India. He is our quality control, logistics and shipping expert! Sanjay has a young daughter called ‘Shruti’ - hence our company name. Shruti means ‘Hope will fulfill our dreams’ - let’s wait and see!
